The Claremont is a handcrafted solid oak record player stand and vinyl storage unit, designed to keep records organised while functioning as a practical piece of furniture for modern living spaces. Built from carefully selected European oak, it combines generous LP storage with a clean, minimalist design suited to both contemporary and traditional interiors.

Featuring solid oak dividers and a structured layout for easy browsing, the Claremont is designed to keep vinyl records upright, organised and easily accessible. The offset rear panel positions records neatly towards the front of the unit, making browsing and selecting albums more comfortable during everyday use.

Crafted from kiln-dried solid European oak, approximately 25mm thick, each piece is selected for strength, stability and character. The weight and durability of solid oak provide a sturdy platform for turntables and vinyl collections, while the smooth finish and rounded edges give the unit a refined, timeless feel. Designed as a long-term piece of furniture, it’s built for everyday use and made to last for years to come.

Each unit is finished in Treatex Hard Wax Oil — a blend of natural oils and waxes that enhances the grain of the oak while providing excellent durability. A range of finishes and stain options are available to suit different spaces and interiors — please see our wood finishes page for more details.

Meticulously handcrafted in Bristol, every piece is made to order. Collection from our workshop is available — simply use code “COLLECT” at checkout.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many vinyl records can this oak record player stand hold?

Depending on the width selected, the Claremont can hold approximately 125–350 vinyl records. The lower estimate allows for easier browsing and “flicking” through your collection, while the higher estimate assumes tighter long-term storage.

The offset rear panel keeps records positioned neatly towards the front of the unit, making albums easier to browse and access during everyday use.

Quick Tips for Accurate Planning

  • The "Gatefold" Factor: If your collection has many double LPs or thick gatefold covers, reduce these estimates by about 20%.
  • Plastic Sleeves: Using outer sleeves adds approximately 1mm to 1.5mm per record. For a 100cm shelf, this can "cost" you space for about 10–15 records.

How long does delivery take for this record player stand?

Standard lead time is around 3–4 weeks, although this can occasionally increase during busier periods.

Every unit is handcrafted to order in our Bristol workshop, and we’ll contact you once your build is complete to arrange a suitable delivery date.

I'd like to see some samples of the stains. Can you send me a sample pack?

Yes — sample packs are available to help compare finishes, stain tones and wood types in your own space and lighting. They're available to purchase here.

Is the unit strong enough for heavy records and turntables?

Yes, absolutely. The Claremont is built from solid European oak, approximately 25mm thick, creating a sturdy and stable piece of furniture designed to support both vinyl collections and turntables with ease.

The solid construction and weight of the oak help keep the unit rigid and stable for everyday use.

Will this work well in smaller living spaces?

Yes — the Claremont is designed with a relatively compact footprint while still offering generous vinyl storage. Its low-profile design and clean lines make it well suited to smaller listening spaces, apartments and modern interiors where practical storage and simple furniture design are equally important.
